Missouri Junior Duck Stamp 2007 winners are on display at the Discovery Center in Kansas City, MO. The Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge coordinates the Junior Duck Stamp program for Missouri.

October 6th: Missouri River Relief Kansas City Cleanup

October 13th: Endangered Species Walk/Run in Jefferson City

Participate in this event to raise funds to help restore habitat, conduct research and support education projects for endangered animals and plants in Missouri. This year's event features bottomland forests and swamps. For more information, check out their web site. If you come, stop by the Friends of Big Muddy table!

October 14th: Sign Posting at the Boone's Crossing Unit

We will be putting up boundary signs as the Boone's Crossing Unit of the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. You must pre-register! See our next activity page for details.

October 27th: Guided Tours of the Lewis and Clark Trail of Discovery at Jameson Island

Friends of Big Muddy and Friends of Arrow Rock will have guided tours of the trail at 10:00, 1:30, and 3:30. For more information, see this page.

November 3rd: Tree Planting at the Overton Bottoms North Unit

Friends of Big Muddy and Missouri River Relief will be planting trees at the Overton Bottoms North Unit of the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. The area being planted was just acquired this year, and this is the first step in beginning the restoration process for this tract.
